Tony Tognetti, DPT, Owner

Born and raised in Gilroy, Tony Tognetti, DPT/Owner, has over 15 years of experience specializing in the treatment of knee, shoulder, and other peripheral musculoskeletal conditions. He has worked extensively with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes to return them to competition and truly understands the athlete’s needs. Tony prides himself on using the most current treatment theory and exercise principles in designing individualized programs for his patients.

Tony received his B.A in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in 2001 where he was co-captain of the 2000 San Jose State Spartan baseball team leading them to there first and only College World Series berth. After hanging up his spikes, Tony went on to attend graduate school at the University of Southern California where he obtained his clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004. The establishment of Apex has allowed Tony to express his vision of how physical therapy should be practiced and delivered.

Tony’s clinical interests lie in the realm of orthopedic sports medicine, primarily in the treatment of knee and shoulder disorders. Tony has a strong interest in rehabilitation of the overhead athlete and the throwing shoulder. He believes strongly in the principals of biomechanics, functional rehabilitation, and a balanced body.

In his free time he enjoys golf, staying fit, and traveling.
