Bobby Chu, DPT
Bobby Chu was born and raised in Redwood City. In 2021, he received his B.S. in Exercise Science and wellness from the University of Minnesota–Crookston, where he also became the first Chinese American player on the varsity baseball team. Following his undergraduate studies, Bobby attended graduate school at the University of the Pacific and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2023.
During his athletic career, Bobby sustained several sports-related injuries. Nonetheless, he was able to fully recover from these injuries thanks to physical therapy, which inspired him to become a physical therapist.
Bobby has worked with young athletes as both a baseball coach and a strength and conditioning coach prior to beginning his physical therapy career. During his graduate studies, Bobby continued to work with athletes during his clinical rotation with the Minnesota Twins.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys golfing, and playing adult-league baseball. Bobby’s love for sports and dedication to helping those with injuries are what drives his passion for physical therapy.
