Katrina Gadala, PT, DPT

Katrina received her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences, where she discovered her passion for outpatient orthopedics. Raised in San Mateo, Katrina developed her love for the outdoors, appreciating the body’s capabilities to endure all-weather physical activity, from water to snow. She began her career journey as an intern in 2010, where she volunteered for Apex San Mateo.

Though she enjoys treating all diagnoses, she has a particular interest in spinal impairments, balance abnormalities, and rehabilitation focused on return to sport. She prides herself in developing individualized plans for each of her patients based on thorough evaluation and assessment. She received her certification in instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) along with concussion rehabilitation.

Prior to receiving her doctorate, Katrina received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from UC Davis. Here, she participated in extracurricular activities and started the Pre-Therapy sector of the UC Davis Pre-Health and Pre-Medical conference for students across the state.

Outside of Apex, Katrina practices Home Health Physical Therapy where she has a secondary passion treating patients of neurological impairments. If she’s not working, you can find her hiking, spending time with her family, and traveling.
