Daniel Horgan, a bay area native, received his BS in Kinesiology at Sonoma State University in 2009. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, he spent time studying Sports Science in Australia. Daniel then moved back to the east coast and attended New York University where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. After taking advantage of training at some of New York’s finest hospitals, Daniel returned home to practice in California. He worked for a year in Napa Valley before joining the staff at Apex San Carlos.
Daniel’s interest in functional training and human movement began as a competitive wrestler. He now channels these interests to help people maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Daniel’s passion for volunteer work has led him to develop community based health projects in far-away locations such Nepal and Mexico. He has also been involved with medical teams focused on rehabilitation and injury prevention of high school football players and runners in the New York City Marathon. In his free time, he enjoys staying active through cycling, running, backpacking, and snowboarding.
